Over the years (since 1983), I have built many hundreds of beds. I usually build them "platform" style, meaning that you do not need a box spring. If you plan to use a box spring, please tell me, and I will adapt the bed to accommodate. My beds are very sturdy, and I guarantee them not to break, in anything resembling normal use. All of your children's friends jumping on it is normal use - falling out of the back of a moving truck is not. Local delivery & setup is a courtesy. They are easy to transport and set up - a queen size bed can comfortably be moved in a small station wagon, and I have timed myself setting one up in seven minutes, without feeling rushed.
